Inode_Antenna

Background:
Active Antenna designed for receiving ELF/VLF signals.
This project is intended to be interfaced to any
device which accepts standard AF range (~300hz - ~3000Hz).
Using custom software, which is under development, it will
be possible to do direction finding, recording, and decoding
of received signals.

Details:
The ELF/VLF wavelength is so large it is very difficult, if not impossible for most rf experimenters to create a 1/2 wave or even a 1/4 wave antenna. One way around this is to create what is known as an 'active antenna'. This is simply a device which amplifies the small rf signals received on a extremely small (compared to a 1/4 wavelength) antenna to an acceptable amplitude which can then be the input of any standard AF receiver/recorder. Recieving ELF/VLF signals can be performed in two ways: Electro-Magnetic Induction or Electro-Statically. This project will concentrate on designing a custom active antenna utilizing electrostatic reception.
