Audio Flux

[Update: 11-20-2008]
Update: Please note this project will become a 'module' of the wearable project. Please continue to check the wearable site for the audioflux module addition.

Background:
A couple magnetic stripe emulator designs have been popping around the past year or so. However I feel they have been lacking in functionality and efficiency. The goal of the 'Audio Flux' project is to design an affordable portable alternative to some of the costly ISO7810/ISO7816 Reader/Writer/Emulators.

Details:
AudioFlux will accept analog and digital inputs. Analog can be aquired from any audio source, such as: MP3 players, CD/Cassette Players, Sound card output, etc. Digital Input will be in the form of RS232, and possibly USB support.

Design:
A new and advanced version of AudioFlux is being designed. This new version will have the following features:
ISO7816 Reading
ISO7816 Writing
ISO7816 Emulation
ISO7810 Reading
ISO7810 Emulation
The new version will also include custom molded epoxy resin cards. Cards will be available in many different colors including transclucent colors and also transparent.

Research:
Please note, this section will be frequently be updated.
Schematics, Diagrams, Notes and other files can be aquired here.
Here you will find other ISO7816 projects available on the web.
Our research in the field of ISO7816 can be found here.

New design will employ SmartCard R/W/E in
addition to Magnetic Stripe Emulation.
We are also in the process of creating custom molded Cards
with embedded Emulation coils, and Smartcard Contacts.
